Day 12

It began to rain really early in the morning, so we had to get up very quickly. We were still not able to get past London, so we eventually went straight into Illford in east London with a guy. From there we walked to the trainstation and used all the money we had left over for a train ticket to Dartford. The man on the ticked office made a special offer for us, so it was just enough. Manu got some Bread and some Aples before we tried to hitchhike to Dover. After hours of trying to get a lift, we decided to walk these 50 km. But then we suddenly found a great road and got a lift to the next fuel station really easy. We were rescued at last! Then a couple took us all the way to Canterburry, where Emma, the first girl we asked, took us to Dover. We made a stop at McDonalds though and she gave us each a big portion of pommes frites. In Dover we tried to get a ferry, but it was already dark and noone stoped. We decided to put up our tent near the castle at the top of the cliffs. Bad idea though: We fighted our way through the bushes and fences for one whole hour. Still we could not arrive at the castle, so we just put up our tent on a grassslope, which made it really uncomfortable.
