Day 4

After playing games with Matthieu into the night we overslept of course. We did finally get up at 11 o'clock, had some breakfast with Matthieu and then left towards Beauvais. We marched around 3 hours when we noticed we're going the wrong direction! Luckily a man with a very smoky car brought us to the motor way towards Calais. From there a young guy who used to hitchhike himself took us to the middle of nowhere. Still we managed to get a lift from Guillaume, who was heading towards Belgium after just about half an hour. He took us right up to the "Rue Angletaire". And really, the first lady we asked took us all the way to Calais. We talked to her in the car and then she said we could try to go through the tunnel with her, which was exactly what we did! After a crazy ride through Folkestone in England she finally managed to dump us at the beach, where we marched along for a while until we found a nice place to put up our tent. So after 4 days we are already in England, even though we went through Paris and didn't really hurry. Also we were never hungry throughout our whole trip and everything goes so much better than expected!
